{"id":26261,"date":"2020-10-30T05:05:57","date_gmt":"2020-10-30T05:05:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rmolaw.com.au\/conveyancing-update-changes-to-body-corporate-regulations\/"},"modified":"2025-02-24T05:14:16","modified_gmt":"2025-02-24T05:14:16","slug":"conveyancing-update-changes-to-body-corporate-regulations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rmolaw.com.au\/zh\/conveyancing-update-changes-to-body-corporate-regulations\/","title":{"rendered":"Conveyancing Update: Changes To Body Corporate Regulations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The State Government has announced some changes to body corporate regulations which include the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 115%;\">Electronic voting and attendance at meetings<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 115%;\">The use of email and other forms of electronic communication for the exchange of information and documents within the body corporate<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 115%;\">Expanding the documents that a developer must hand over at the first annual general meeting to include:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 115%;\">The Development Approval<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 115%;\">All insurance policies<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 115%;\">Any fire and evacuation plans<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 115%;\">Contract for the supply of utility services<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 115%;\">Warranties from suppliers<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 115%;\">A facilities management plan (being a maintenance and inspection schedule for the common property)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 115%;\">A 5 year administrative fund forecast<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 115%;\">Copies of all developer powers of attorney\/proxy documents<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 115%;\">An obligation for the body corporate to have a motion on the agenda for the second AGM for the engagement of a person to assess defects on the common property.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 115%;\">A Committee member may be removed by an ordinary resolution of the body corporate.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is not an exhaustive list of the new regulations but highlights some points of interest.<\/p>\n<p>The new regulations are due to come into effect on 1 March 2021.<\/p>\n<h3>\u8054\u7cfb\u6211\u4eec<\/h3>\n<p>Purchasing, selling or transferring property?
