Divorce: The Data
The Australian Bureau of Statistics’ divorce statistics reveals that 47.3% of divorces involve children and the median duration of marriage for those divorcing was 12.3 years. There were 49,400 divorces granted across Australia, with 11,539 divorces granted in Queensland in 2018.
