Wayne Dover Death: Clients Cleared of Manslaughter Charges
The Situation: We successfully represented our clients in the court proceedings regarding the death of Wayne Dover. In November 2013, Wayne Dover and three men were involved in a fight outside a nightclub in Maroochydore that resulted in Mr Dover’s death. As a result, three men were charged with manslaughter, Matthew Hill, Blake Goldsworthy and Wade Goldsworthy.
Heavily reported in the media at the time, the impact on the Sunshine Coast community was devastating for all parties involved.
Across the past three years, there had been varying degrees of comments provided by all parties to the media regarding the circumstances of the night.
The Result: A win for our clients. After a three week trial, the jury first acquitted one of our clients on the grounds there was not enough evidence to prove his involvement on the night.
Later that week, the jury handed down a not-guilty verdict for our other client, after two days of intense deliberation.
We worked tirelessly with our clients to achieve this successful outcome.
This case clearly demonstrates the expertise and passion RMO Law possess, and the professional approach taken at all times when representing our clients.
As every case is different, the cases reported here cannot be taken as an indication of a similar outcome being likely in your case, and these reports are not to be taken as legal advice about your particular situation.
