A report has identified youth offenders responsible for a crime rampage across Queensland in 2018/19.
- 48% of people charged with robbery were youth offenders.
- More than 50% of people charged with burglary were youth offenders.
- 44% of people charged with arson were youth offenders.
- 40% of people charged with car theft were youth offenders.
- 37% of people charged with trespass were youth offenders.
- Almost 40% of people charged with property damage were youth offenders.
- 20% of people charged with assault were youth offenders.
The Queensland Crime Report reveals that since 2009/10 the number of youth offenders has decreased by over 30%.
